The Rimi Woodcraft Story
1947 was a very good year...A good year for fine high-quality architectural woodwork. That was the year that Dominick Rizzo, a master craftsman and cabinetmaker, went into business.
Having learned his craft as a boy in his father's woodshop in Sicily, Italy, Dominick began modestly in his basement in the Bronx, New York, building furniture for the people in his community. Word of Dominick's talent spread and the orders came in steadily. Dominick and his wife Rose opened a storefront shop in 1952 and Rimi Woodcraft Corp was born. Today the business is a 60,000 square-foot facility in the Westchester Square section of the Bronx, led by Anthony Rizzo, CEO, and Marie Rizzo, Treasurer & Secretary, who bring a second generation vision to the company.
The high-profile reputation that Rimi Woodcraft Corp. enjoys today is the culmination of years of service to a varied roster of satisfied clients, including financial institutions, law firms, corporations and universities.
The creation of a quality drafting company in Europe, with more than twenty architects and engineers, has positioned Rimi Woodcraft to offer international clients a bridge to the United States.
